PS: "Raymond" in these later years of "Inner Sanctum" is Paul McGrath. Want the full effect of "Death Of A Doll", or just about ANY "Inner Sanctum" Show ? Listen to them at night, in a darkend room, concentrate on the story, the actors, the sound effects, the organ "stabs" (By Organist Rosa Rio).and of course "Raymond" and that there SQUEEKING DOOR ! You see "Inner Sanctum" was as much about atmosphere as it was about acting ! I first heard the show many years ago.and was haunted by its storyline so much that I tried to find an authentic reference to "Karanana" as used in the plot.
One of my Personal Favorites is available here: "DEATH OF A DOLL" starring Mason Adams (One of the all-time best Radio/TV/Movie Performers), Ted Osborne, and, Santos Ortega (Another of OTR's most versitle Actor's). The "Inner Sanctum" Series was one of Golden Age Radio's longest-running and ULTIMATE BEST Mystery Programs.
